Northern Vessel Coffee, known for its cold brew, cold brew lattes, and drip coffee, sought an interior design that reflects the exceptional quality of their beverages while creating a memorable experience for patrons. Situated within a historic development, the modern interiors thoughtfully blend original pressed metal ceilings and plaster details with minimalist lighting and warm wood accents, crafting a welcoming space for visitors to savor their coffee.

The layout is organized into three distinct zones: production, service, and seating. Upon entering, guests are greeted by the point-of-sale counter, featuring a white oak wood slat wall wrapped in black granite and highlighted by the signature illuminated “NV” logo. Behind the counter, the on-site production area showcases the craft of coffee making, while the front retail space offers ordering, cold brew pickups, grab-and-go food, and branded merchandise. Seating options include refinished original storefront window platforms and a central triangular wood slat and granite table with integrated greenery—a modern design nod to the building’s historic triangular form. The space beautifully balances heritage preservation with a progressive coffee culture and design ethos.
