HOTEL STUART

Stuart, Iowa

Hotel Stuart, a National Historic Property built in 1906–1907, is a two-story brick building at the southern edge of Stuart, Iowa. Having sat vacant for decades, the building has been thoughtfully transformed into a vibrant mixed-use facility. The renovation preserves original architectural details while creating functional modern spaces, including ground-floor retail and accessible residential units, plus four apartments on the second floor. Comprehensive structural and systems upgrades were seamlessly integrated to meet today’s standards without compromising historic character. This revitalization not only restores a beloved landmark but also provides essential housing and supports economic growth, serving as a catalyst for Stuart’s ongoing community development.
