Firm of Record is Substance Architecture
The City of Waukee is a fast-growing community in need of public amenities. Genus Landscape Architects developed Fox Creek Park to provide recreational activities such as pickleball, basketball, a playground and splash park for children, and open green space. The new park shelter, designed to complement the new outdoor spaces, provides a year-round, rentable, public gathering space for up to 80 people. The simple building design serves the community through an architectural solution that nicely integrates with the outdoor spaces while providing necessary shelter.
